By Bus: Manali is like a junction for very famous destinations like Leh, Shimla, Kullu, Dharamshala, etc., and connects them with the other parts of the country. The buses which will take you to Manali can be private or state government vehicles. The distance between Manali from Delhi is 550 km.

By Air: The nearest airport is approximately 50 km away, that is Bhuntar. You can easily find a domestic flight from Delhi or Chandigarh. 

By Road/ Self Drive: The best option to travel to Manali, is by traveling by road. This way you can enjoy the breathtaking scenic beauties of the way to Manali. You can also travel to Manali on a bike rented in Chandigarh.

Some Casual Tips, you must consider when visiting Manali:

  • It is advisable for you that you should travel in a Volvo or AC Deluxe bus, as these buses are far better than the others. The distance and journey are also long.
  • Air Travel is not advisory, as the weather conditions in the hilly areas can be turned into the worst at any moment. Hence, no accident is recorded but for safety concerns, fewer people are interested to travel from airlines.
  • If you are unable to drive in hilly areas and regions, then you must hire a taxi to drive you to Manali.
